Help with Rent and Housing

Gov. Wolf issued executive order extending the rental eviction and foreclosure moratorium  Due top expire on July 10, 2020, the extension protects renters and homeowners from eviction proceedings until august 31, 2020

Extending the eviction moratoriums protect thousands of Pennsylvanians working to recover losses sustained during the pandemic shutdown. Pushing the date back addresses the gap between evictions and the availability of assistance through CARES funding. This action protects those one paycheck away from homelessness.

The CARES Rent Relief Program (RRP)

The Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, passed in March, provided $3.9 billion for Pennsylvania and is intended to help people hurt economically during the pandemic. The portion for rent assistance is at least $150 million.
